anon I'm like you I don't drive either and I have less of an audience since basically no one knows about me at all but I'm still working on a film I'm inevitably gonna show at my college and I've already been hired to multiple indie projects. If you aren't putting the time in to make connections and build up a portfolio like that then you aren't gonna get anywhere like those people who also started from nothing at some point. Being part of indie studios has already allowed me to pitch my ideas around even if they don't get picked up
