Anon is wrong. The Severing, going by the Ananasi (who are amongst the oldest Fera and claim to predate humanity as a whole) was caused well before any of the Fera existed. Queen Ananasa was created countless billions of years ago and the Weaver was already insane by then and the Wyrm already trapped. The Wyrm then entrapped Queen Ananasa out of spite for the Weaver entrapment it, and the Ananasi tricked the Garou into cracking her prison. This all happened well before the War of Rage.
The Garou merely made things exponentially worse between the Impergium and War of Rage. Back then, there was still a chance of returning the two wayward Triat members to sanity. Now, there's no shot unless you're willing to destroy this current reality to do it.
