That whole 'a picture is worth a thousand words' adage has a real world practical meaning to it. That page took at absolute most 5 minutes to make in script form but the demands on the artist is way higher in terms of production cost. It's easy to say "each panel should have a lot of emotion and nuance" when those are words and you don't have to get a page done a every two hours because these are books with absurd deadlines.

It's the eternal problem idea guys have when trying to work with people that actually have to *make* the thing.
