Art commission work is a weird beast.The freaks that want that stuff still want a person to do it. Just look at the drawthread. And it's not necessarily always about the art itself, but more "I got THAT guy to draw this for me". It makes me think of the people obsessed with "brands" for clothing, or baseball card collecting. Has no real world value, but the commissioner, it means something.
