This was T4B's problem for awhile. leaning too much into the cutesy side of their IPs. And to their credit it worked, Skylanders and Spyro had a sort of Disney, Neopets and Don Bluth energy too them, which to be fair, fit with the tone for the most part.
Crash on the other hand, leans more into the classic Warner Bros and Spielberg Amblin side of animation. Naturally these two styles don't mix, and somebody at some point should've realized that, especially considering Crash's gameplay style. Which honestly has been an issue ever since leaving the PS1 with a few honest attempt to carry it forward notwithstanding
