The power of writing can make most anything happen. Plausibility is a bit much though. Sort of like how Bo changed hands enough times and run into them with their new owner on a road trip. Seems really thin premise wise. They could have written a character to be their toy on the inside of the 2nd hand shop. It was a choice to make something that feels like it would take a phenomenally slim chance of happening be a central plot point.
