By the Krakoa era Beast was so incredibly irredeemably evil (which is impressive when you remember that the X-men were rubbing shoulders with the likes of Apocalypse at this time) that he was killed off and replaced with a clone of himself with his personality from all the way back in the 80s. Bendis didn't write the X-force run where he was full villain, but his All-New X-men was kind of the turning point where people start pointing to him as past the point of no return.
