Yeah, it's silly to let Sue and Reed parents to 2 teenagers and Ben and Johnny are both just sidelined and unchanging. Johnny like Spider-man is probably doomed to be a permanent bachelor due to some mandate at Marvel but Ben and Alice deserve some growth.
Plus the kids fit in nicely with tone of the book series for the last 10 years.
