It seems like they're crafting characters to be the most obnoxious, unlikable assholes possible then giving them a bizarrely positive ending for no reason, as if the gag is the simple fact they're not getting any real punishment. sam was an asshole with an ego complex that thinks he just inherently deserved to be taken seriously, gets hailed as a messiah by the end. mr frog was a reckless sociopath, reached nirvana in peace. the mole was a obsessive freak kidnapper, walked away from his life with a .05 second turnaround with no consequences. if the halloween episode was in this season the monster that terrorized pim wouldn't have gotten torn apart and devoured, he'd have gotten sucked off by 16 busty strippers instead. feels like they're trying to do some ironic stuff but its just not very funny.
