Clinton is probably still trying to maintain some level of friendship, I doubt he wants to just never talk to Elliot again, and he’s probably been replying to these emails. But Elliot has always been the type of guy to wallow in his own self pity and no one can really just talk him out of it. I don’t know what sort of closure Clinton could offer a guy like him that he would actually accept. I doubt Clinton would know either.
