I'm actually more confused now. The previous page made it sound like Elliot is still bothering Clinton, but this page almost implies he was trying to sabotage the relationship in a way that he wouldn't feel like the bad guy for ending it. But admitting that in the last pain also ruins that, so this is some of the strangest way to write this that I can possibly imagine. I think Harph is juggling meds or something.
