I think Exodia is a weird case. Death Battle puts characters at their peak as long as it fits within the lore. Logically speaking I think Yugi would not get Exodia because he loses it pretty early on in the show and the God cards make up for it. Besides, I think people see Exodia and just think it would be an auto-win for a Death Battle. If Ash and Yugi were strictly playing Duel Monsters then it would be, but I think Death Battle will look at whatever feats Exodia has and use that.

I can kind of see the argument for Young Snake but still, peak equipment at peak form. Arguing against Raiden having muramasa is weird though. He literally gets it at the end of the game.
