I recalled being in 99 on the US with my aunt in San Diego, I got to see reruns of the americanized DBZ on CN and it felt so weird, but on their cable packaging they actually had local CANAL 12 Tijuana and they were airing DBZ when Goku fights Freeza as a Super Saiyan and Porunga was summoned.
