No it doesn't, LOTR they retconed and rewrote shit to fit bullshit narratives that undermines the original works. Star Wars is a fking mess, especially when they politicized it "the Force is female" CONSTANTLY, instead, when Star Wars was pretty apolitical if not a faux-religious space opera with semi-divine implications (dark-side vs. force) that had anti-fascist elements to it, and then they just shit the bed over and over with it. (Though, Star Wars shit the bed hard when they added midi-chlorians for the supernatural explanation of the Force). And DnD/Wizards of the Coast hasn't been doing super well last I heard.
