If you are absolutely desperate for work, go on Fiverr or Upwork and do freelance storyboard gigs for cheap. Yes, you'll probably be doing three times as much work as the usual studio guy and will most likely be working on live-action or commercial stuff, but at least you'll be getting money and building up some kind of portfolio. You'll already need some kind of portfolio before doing this, so hopefully SVA prepared you so you don't need to spend more time making stuff up.
