I had to give up watching Lackadaisy's pilot halfway in because I couldn't stand how "modern" everyone's voices sounded. I wasn't expecting the cast to do variations of that corny 40s newsreel parody voice (you know the kind, Trey Parker is fond of doing it) or anything but the dialogue, the cadence, so much of it felt like you could set it in any contemporary show and it wouldn't feel out of place. For someone with a borderline autistic obsession with life in the 1920s, Tracy sure let that aspect fall by the wayside.
