It's the same mindset as people who think AI can write their story for them. You are going to have to draw from something more personal than just other people's collective knowledge if you want to make something special. That does not mean write your life story with a thin veneer of fantasy like a recent Pixar movie, but it does mean you have to be creative and have inspiration. You can't expect to find success just by copying and remixing from an index of things that other people have made like a DJ. That mindset is what gets you millennial writing.
Picrel is a list of banned phrases from the writing room at Workaholics. You've probably seen all of them in badly written "funny" shows and movies, and heard them in casual conversations. When people engage in cannibalistic writing they inevitably start copying from things that were already copied from somewhere else and it all starts breaking down, just like an AI starts breaking down when it starts copying other AI.
