It tries but to me, also just fucks up the landing.
I don't care for the Nakama thing with fairy tail that much either but I will at least say with it being about a magic guild and working together it makes "Some" sense.
Honestly IIIRC Black Clover did the same a few times but they had the benefit of using team attacks which counted as their NAKAMA BS
