Hoo boy anon, I'm gonna be real that you're gonna have it TOUGH making friends in the creative world. This is speaking from experience but do you realize how many artists outside of their art are like fucking devoid of a personality? Alot but they get a pass cause they can present something visual that doesn't take alot of brainpower to process.

Do you realize how god damn hard it is to get people to read anything longer than two sentences? I'm saying that cause I've known writers who have done multiple novels or full issues of completed comics they worked on with artists and it's a whole other wheelhouse for them. They gotta be doing a lot of other stuff to sell themselves either being the most charismatic or funniest person in the room. Maybe they're damn good at bringing a plan together or something. The downside being it's alot of skills that aren't visible in the span of five seconds.

So sometimes to make buds in the creative circle with a 'writer' status you'll sadly have to be doing more heavy lifting.
