It has cool characters which is more then i can say about slop like game of thrones. A big draw for me is good and interesting characters. Evangelion had it, bebop had it, all modern anime doesnt. The latest anime i liked was one punch man season 1 and jojo and OPM came out ten years ago and jojo was an adaptation of a 80s manga
