I can’t say anything about the globalized fetish people, but written /d/ content tends to come and go in waves from my experience. I used to write fairly regularly about 10 years ago until one of the mods got pissy and banned me because “this is an image board, images only!”
Time would go on, written stuff would come back, and then another Mod would go on a purging spree, and we’d be out another author or five. They might still be lurking, but it’s up in the air as to if they want to get back into it
