Granted, welcome to the Holiest Church of or Goddess Ilias.
"But isn't the church opposed to witches?"
No, "witch" is just a character class, like mage or mime. By the way, fantasy has always existed in your world, it just-so-happens that, thanks to a special blessing, the "human world" and the regular humans in it cannot see nor interact with the supernatural. Which is good if a succubus wants to drain a human's soul but can't even touch him; bad if a succubus does manage to get lucky and "slip through the tracks" to attack the human, because nobody will help him - they won't even notice the monster chasing him.
You, however, are a different story. You have supernatural powers, which means that now you can interact with the supernatural world, and it can interact with you. More specifically, you are a witch specialized in bindings, seals and barriers - and I'm not talking just about the magical, glowy-circles-and-special-effects kind. You tend to favor the more physical approach, preparing magical items tailored for specific kinds of targets... It's one thing to prepare some shibari rope for some regular bondage fun with your friends, but it's another one entirely to prepare a blessed rope, infused with ceremonial water and the vaginal fluids of a priestess, capable of tying up a ghost and make her corporeal enough for, ahem, "further direct exorcisms". Incidentally, that same rope could be used to lasso a regular human being, and then pull out their soul, leaving the body open for other spirits to enter. But I digress.
I should mention that the methods for crafting these magical items and spells can be sped up significantly through rituals that, ahem, involve putting the caster in bondage. Just so you know.
Where was I? Oh, right, your job. As I already mentioned, supernatural creatures cannot usually interact with human beings; but sometimes, things align just right, and those creatures can affect the human world. Usually negatively.
