I agree with other anon, though. The difference between bad fetish content and good fetish content is whether people outside the fetish can understand or appreciate it.
If it's handled well, it can get people who otherwise be willing to try it into the fetish.
You do have to be careful not to freakishly overreward engaging with the fetish. Railroading people into the fetish is a bad show.
... but you also have to avoid punshing the player too much for engaging with it.
