anon, this is insane... gimp is stuck in the dark ages... i thought i'd be using gimp for stuff beyond captions, like pride flag edits (which would demand warping for depth and perspective), and even outright drawing, if i'd be trying that with zero drawing skill or experience. but this would trivialize making captions, so idk how i can stick with gimp anymore...
