Here was another attempt. IbisPaintX does lend itself well to making guides like this with its built in time-lapse feature. Although I do need to consider how long it leaves text on screen for. IDK how it determines the time of actions. i thought it was just a set amount of time per action, so I made lots of brush strokes when erasing, but it would seem it actually is actually real time as it hangs for a bit when I first opened the image
Making the shapes normally rather than reductively makes a bit more sense
(I was basically combining the blocking with the refining)
Taking a bit more care with the shadows and making the shapes more strip-like rather than all being teardrop-like makes them look a bit more realistic
Still not a perfect replica of the style, I think I do a bit too much smudging (although in other images by mamimi they do smudge more but also have less overall smegma)
