I guess if you're just scrolling vertically like a webtoon then it wouldn't be much of a problem, but the vertical spacing makes it rough to follow.
The sound effects and onomatopoeia are fine.
Also, there's a technique they use in translating manga where they try to limit lines to only one or two words, and break sentences up in certain ways.
For example, here in the first panel>>11370327
They'd break it up like
>Need to
>go to the gym
>,or take some
>maca root!
>You can't
>keep tapping out
>like this
>,dickweed.
You've got it mostly correct, its just finding the most natural line breaks that make it easy to read while lowering your eyes rather than going left to right. It also might be better to use a thicker font and add just a little dropshadow if you're not gonna use speech bubbles.
