no, part of it was definitely that i got caught-up on the phrasing "were destined to be", and questioned whether it should be present tense ("are destined to be") instead. but wtf man. pretty fucked-up. didn't even know this could happen. gonna add a note to double-check paragraphs before moving on, i guess
