I can relate to this, in the fantasy realm penectomy is personally more interesting than castration to me and the image of a cute guy or futa/MtF with a smooth, flat area of skin and a little divot for the urethra above their balls where there used to be a penis is appealing in hentai but real life falls so far short of the fantasy depiction; similarly the act of removing someone's penis or testicles (or just the foreskin even) is something I only enjoy seeing depicted in written smut or drawings
