I know more about clothes than you do or ever will.

Go to Saville Row, they're using synthetic linings (typically Ermazine more than anything else). Go walk into Hermes, or Tom Ford, or Loro Piana. They're using synthetic linings too. Very rarely will you find silk. Occasionally you'll see something like a 50/50 Silk/Cupro blend but 100% Silk is almost unheard of. A big reason is because silk shrinks and causes pulling that ends up warping the garment with continued wear and laundering.

This is one of the main reasons synthetics were adopted so quickly and widely when they became available. They solved a problem garment makers had always had to deal with when it came to silk linings. (The solution was cutting linings larger to account for shrinkage which was expensive and made the garment more bulky).

As for Cashmere linings they're so incredibly use specific it's not even worth bringing them up. Not to mention cashmere itself means nothing. You can find cheap gloves at the mall with cashmere linings because there's incredibly cheap grades of cashmere out there.
