In all seriousness, a little spinal flexion never hurt anyone but I think it's safe to say that you're not bracing strong enough for the weights you're trying to handle b/c otherwise the load wouldn't be coupling to the soft tissues of your thoracolumbar spine. Have you bought a belt yet?
>Am I relegated to block pulls?
Relegated? No, but to be honest implementing block pulls / rack deads is probably the BEST idea for your training due to your anthropometric situation.
