Im going for ufc hw so im in the same boat. I skip cardio mostly since my base feom way back is super high, so i can basically have competitive cardio by training for 1mo and before comps take it super easy on cns draining training for about the same time depending on how deep into it. Its good to train technique before or after lifting depending on if you wanna practice fresh vs gassed but i find practicing gassed makes me feel faster fresh with enough willpower. Training for size vs strength is stupid, make pure strength your goal so you get strong faster. And as a fighter doing weird specific movements like powercleans or some speed reps on presses will definitely improve your game greatly. Usually martial artists suck penis at lifting and vice versa because one theyre stupid and two specializing in one entirely definitely is worse short term but id rather take the mountain and teach him martial arts than some highschooler doing martial srts since 10yo, it takes forever to get strength and martial arts you can learn way faster than a stupid person.
