My main usecase for it is relatively simple home network stuff, I could do with a tplink easysmart switch even but hey if I get an L3 switch I'll be able to do inter-vlan routing directly in it. That's about all I need.
Learning is cool, I doubt I'd ever use any of these skills but it's still cool. What can the cisco do that the ruckus can't? They're both enterprise L3 switches, surely it can't be that bad?

Yeah, issue is they're still heavy and transatlantic shipping sucks fucking balls. It's all air mail and I'd pay another like $150 or so just for postage.
There is one auction that's at £150 currently but it's already got 2 bidders and two days left, so I'm not optimistic. (Meanwhile the ruckus has an auction at £100 with zero bidders so far, and I was planning on snagging it by friday.) I can certainly afford even £200 if need be, but at that point it's just hard to justify compared to just spending £50 on a tplink with the most basic L2 shit I need and being done with it.

I honestly have no idea about the enterprise market except what I've been able to see in the past few days, if you have any recommendations which seem to have reasonable prices in bongland I'm all ears.
