Lying about a dependency doesn't make it a true dependency. You know what breaks without dbus

That's it. You know what it breaks? The file/view/etc menus. It still works fine if you know the keyboard shortcuts. Why would such a thing break without dbus? No fucking idea but they managed to do it somehow.
Everything else just spams errors you can safely ignore. The Firefox packages and a few others fake dbus to prevent that. But you can safely send them directly to /dev/null and not bother.
Same is true of systemd. Nothing really requires it. They just claim it does to spook people into running it or installing the shims. This stuff is just a virus. Dbus is like the most retarded thing I've ever seen. You can give yourself root by spamming some text in its general direction. logind is a massive security hole waiting to happen running as root. Systemd running as root AND PID1 is even worse. This is not well designed software.
