>Why can't you just take the W?
Because I've lost nothing.
>This should be very simple. In a majority of desktop environments DBUS is used for application IPC. The best example is MPRIS, when a media key is pressed like a pause button on your headset, it sends an MPRIS
Yes this is very important. Not like I can't do the same thing using a keyboard, or IR adapter, or any usb device. I need to install a massive security exploit for the bluetooth headset I don't have anyway. It's so hard to simply plug-in my DT990s or speakers into the audio interface/amp and control my media player from anywhere in my home with any type of input device like a sane person. I even have this amazing piece of technology called mpd which serves media to any device anywhere in the world. I can even control it remotely from any device from anywhere in the world. It even works with multiple devices at the same time.
But what do I know. I'm not an expert like you that can't figure out how to properly configure a screensaver to not start when there is an input device active without using a massive security hole. I guess allowing any random application to give itself root is totally worth that trade off. I also love the ability to gain instant root by using a username starting with a number.
