When I lived in Honolulu it was full of people begging for money. Having headphones on repelled most of them. So I never took them off. I am introverted as is. I don't want to be bothered. I don't use my phone constantly in public or anything but it's there for me if I'm bored. If someone is making small talk with me I don't usually consider that being bothered but I don't want to be hit up for money or have someone trying to sell me shit. I want peace.
