The lose 10% of their ability to produce energy each year and the cost of keeping batteries in good condition to take the charge adds up too. As soon as they "pay for themselves" it's time to replace them. But you'd know this if you'd actually researched the technology instead of parroting lies you heard from the MSM. Now what I'd like to do is build a dam and setup a small hydro plant. Which would provide me with lots of energy. But the state says you can't do that because then they couldn't rape me.
