People in general were more open to accepting and integrating alternative viewpoints in the past in my opinion. Whether that was because early internet users were more open minded, or whether knowledge of bad actors who will only accept their own rhetoric was more limited and successful, or due to online echo chambers creating radicals, who knows, all I know is you’re either a chud or a troon and there’s no in between.
