if you want to make something usable, you need to define a target audience. linux is used as is by very technical people so they aren't the target for these ideas. what remains then? it's not the macOS web developer-esque people because they use macOS regardless because of brand recognition and the windows people want office and video games. what remains then is a very small handful of people like you who need to simply stick to macOS because anything less than macOS is unusable to you
