Well trackers need more than content providers. They act as efficient distribution networks. From my perspective the users who provide the content are not rewarded as well as they should be. Someone who has a fast seedbox and supplies a file to 20 people can get a bigger reward than it's original source. But overall the system works. Like minded people who are interested in the same thing gather to share it. Just having the content is enough, having large swarms and reliable long term seeders is also important. I want good retention and fast speeds. If I was purely selfish I would explore other avenues like DDL or usenet.
