Lol I bought the Wacom One pen display and I actually thought it wasn't as bad as people said it was.
Sure, it doesn't have all the bell and whistles of a Cintiq since it's a low budget offering, but it's a lot better than the XP-Pen competitor I've used before.
A better bang for your buck would honestly be an old Fujitsu Lifebook T-series laptop or their Thinkpad equivalent. I almost exclusively draw on one of those things now, as there's significantly less latency compared to a separate pen display.
Thinkpads in general have a bit of a meme tax on them though, so it would be easier and cheaper to buy the Lifebook since it's not nearly as well known.
