PC gaming is dead, it died in 2007. You now only get unoptimized console ports for PC, no more PC games (unless you enjoy playing sim racing games/tactical shooters). If you want to game, buy a Switch 2 and PS5 Pro instead, you can do performance mode on PS5 Pro and it has same visual quality as "quality" model on PS5, yet it has double to FPS so it's PS5 quality visuals with ps5 performance FPS. Switch 2 obviously for online shooters like splatoon and metroid prime 4 (also might have multiplayer mode, like DS version did). There aren't many unique PC games that were made for PC anymore, you're basically overpaying for hardware to brute force slightly higher image quality while paying 3-4 times as much as a console costs
>I can use PC for other things, too, not just gaming
Cool, so buy a PC for those other things, just not for gaming, because the moment you start installing your "other programs" on PC (be it for video or audio work), the system gets "bloaty", and that's when laptop CPUs suddenly start surpassing your PC CPUs, because your OS has become too bloaty. This is why it's good to have separate system for gaming (console) and other system for work (pc or mac, just not used for gaming), it saves you ton of headache.
