Silicon valley definitely gets one week or even less. And they also work more than 40 hours.
There ARE good paying jobs in USA especially blue collar jobs oddly enough. If you are good at it that is. But silicon valley when you take into account how much more work you do per month and the cost of living, it is just not worth it for majority of jobs there. You are better off becoming a plumber.
