what do people need such long battery life for? are you a thirdy? a girl?
as far as i am concerned the sole purpose of the battery in a laptop is to give you some time off the mains when the power goes out (rare) or when you want to relocate to another room. if it was up to me laptops wouldn't even have fucking batteries. or maybe they would just have some aa's or whatever for the above reason.
