Yeah, I was on vacation earlier this month. I was up somewhere in the mountains of NC with the shittiest signal. Connected to my server via tailscale to download a few movies with my home's bandwidth, then watched them while posted up in my car via Jellyfin. Was able to immediately transcode them down on the fly when the signal got worse by limiting bitrate. Couldn't have downloaded any movies on a whim with the shitty mountain signal. Offloaded everything to my server that's ready to do shit whenever I need it.
