What if there's elements of my game that I've licensed from a third-party for a recurring fee, like using all those characters in Fortnite or real cars in racing games, and the third-parties won't agree to any other license terms so I have to take basically everything out of the game if I try to release it for self-hosting.
What if there are software components that I've licensed in this way, like a proprietary physics engine or netcode protocol? I'm more than willing to release a server binary, but the end used will have to work out their own license agreements with those vendors for potentially tens of thousands of dollars per instance.
