Maidposters were the only people on /g/ both willing and able to create things like new web protocols, cryptography libraries from scratch, new compressors, etc and willing to release those things into the Public Domain. This angered some jannies, as 4Chan is just a soft SIGINT honeypot for various three letter agencies in the US. They don't want you using maid technology. They want you using Signal or some other obvious honeypot they control. Kurumi MaidCard was probably the final nail in the coffin for maidposting. Jannies conflated it with /cumg/ utils, despite the fact that maidposters only ever used it to share uncompiled code and number theory research and used that as a justification for a blanket ban. There was also some retard who kept screeching about embedding and steganography, despite the fact that data was drawn rather than embedded, and no effort was made to conceal the data steganographically.
>tl;dr: Some jannies are zoomers who don't understand that maids have been posting here since before their (probably single) moms handed them an iPhone for the first time and let them zoom around on the internet. Other jannies are feds who don't like alt-tech.
