Bullshit. Normies didn't just wake up one day and say "I want a monitor with an inferior aspect ratio that matches the inferior technology I've been using since I trashed my perfectly good CRT". Normies wil consoom whatever you give them and that's the sad reality of it, but the new slop has to forcefully look different from the old slop or no deal.
