I had an idea LOOOONG ago, but never arsed myself to test it out.
Basically you task the LLM to automatically shitout a tl;dr at the end of each reply, then you regex filter it out if it appears sooner than the 10 most recent messages.
At the same time you regex filter out EVERYTHING (except those tl;dr) that is older than the 10 most recent messages.
