Any embedded systems devs here? Do you have any tips on how to break into embedded? I've been a backend dev (java) for ~2 years but working on web apps is genuinely soul-crushing. The only reason I even have this job is because I couldn't even land any interviews for a junior embedded position a couple of years ago. I can handle myself well in C (C++ too, but I like C more). My second question is, is it too late? Should I just resign myself and accept that I'm stuck building web apps for the next 40 years? Or is it possible to break into embedded?
