Outside of MX linux I think this will be the case, only distros that will remain will either have to bring something new to the table (void, artix, guix) or have staying power (debian, ubuntu/mint, fedora, arch).

KDE will actually rise as GNOME keeps imploding but overall I think bulky DEs are on their way out. WMs and lightweight DEs like LXQT/LXDE are the future for serious Linux users.
